Friends of the Oakdale Library President Colleen Cordano presented Oakdale High School senior Brooklyn Pope with a Certificate of Appreciation and a check for $100 on May 24 for submitting the winning entry in the organization’s logo contest.
The contest was open to OHS graphic arts students. Thirteen imaginative entries were received, and judged by a panel in the arts and graphics field, with the Friend’s board making the final selection. Pope’s entry was chosen for its boldness of design, color, and for most representing the group’s mission, which is to promote the welfare and growth of the Oakdale Library, and to foster the love of reading in children and adults.
