RIVER WATCH
River watch

Volunteers gather once a month at the Stanislaus River bridge on North Yosemite Avenue for a clean-up effort and here are shown loading up some debris and garbage cleared away on a previous outing. The next river clean-up will be this Saturday, Aug. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Phil McKay will bring his boat for any volunteers who are willing to get in the water and clean debris off the river bottom. Be sure to bring attire to get wet and shoes for the river bottom. Coordinator Annette Halverson said they now have a website up and running where she can post any new information that you might like to share. The group also now has an official name, Stanislaus River Watch and the website is stanislausriverwatch.com.
