The Orange Blossom 4-H Club will host its first meeting of the school year on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights Ferry Community Center. The night will start with an ice cream social and sign-ups will be after. All young people are welcome, and over thirty projects will be offered for members to choose this year. Examples of projects include public speaking, scrapbooking, food preservation, sewing, beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits, and much more. Activities throughout the year include community service, speech and presentations days, fashion reviews, and the Statewide 4-H Field Day hosted by UC Davis. Members can choose to show livestock projects at the county fair, and may exhibit still projects, too. The focus of 4-H through projects and activities is to develop leadership, citizenship, and many other life skills.
