There will be plenty of events offered throughout October at the Oakdale Library.

Winter is still with us, but it is time to plan on planting. Drop by the Oakdale Library on Saturday, Feb. 1, for our “Seed Swap!” Bring some, take some. Grow your garden. Our very best “seed swapping” will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. “Seed” you there!

Our popular “Little Scientists” S.T.E.A.M. Program for ages from Kindergarten to 8 years old, will be on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 3:30 p.m. We will be exploring the science of “Pollinators” with fun and interesting hands-on activities and discussion. So, “bee” there or “bee” square! Sign-ups are required in advance, starting on Feb. 1. Please call the Oakdale Library at 209-847-4204 for info.

Our two “Brick/Block Building Days” this month move to Friday, Feb. 7 and 21, at 3 p.m. Kids can create their own masterpieces using our fabulous assortment of “building materials” and we will display their great works in the Library. Bring your creativity and imagination and join us.

We will be doing “Love” Stencil Painting as a themed craft for “Teens and Adults.” Create a special item for yourself or your Valentine with a “Love” stencil, beautiful paints, and your own unique perspective. Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 3 p.m.

Computer Classes for Adults are back. Learn the basics of computer and internet in this small personal setting. Classes will be offered on Tuesday mornings, Feb. 4, 11 and 18, all starting at 10:30 a.m. Please call the Library, 209-847-4204 for info and be sure to reserve your space. Each session is limited to four people.
