Week three action for the Oakdale Stampede saw a clean sweep for the young football players. All three levels of Stampede football were victorious inside The Corral over visiting Livingston.

The varsity team improved to 2-1 on the season with their convincing 52-22 home win over the Wolves. Oakdale is currently in fourth place in the varsity AFC standings. Oakdale will next host the winless Sierra Jaguars of Manteca. The Jaguars are an NFC team and are currently in fifth place in their conference. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Oakdale’s junior varsity squad had the Wolves howling in a 48-6 home win. Following the lopsided victory Oakdale improved to 3-0 on the season and are now tied for first place in the AFC standings. Saturday, Sept. 23 the team will host the Jaguars, who are currently 1-2 on the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.

In peewee action the Stampede galloped away from the Wolves 21-12. It was the team’s first win of the season and they will look to make it two in a row when they welcome the Jaguars, who are also 1-2 on the young season. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday.
