The inaugural season for the Oakdale Soccer Club gets underway in September but officials with the new Oakdale youth program are already hard at work. With signs popping up around town, and planning underway, board members are prepping for the season.

“Oakdale has a rich history in youth sports. We want to continue that effort and provide a quality program that is positive, safe, and enriches our community and players’ well-being,” said League President Ami Poncabare. “Soccer is fun and we plan to instill a lifelong passion for all our players. The engagement from our community partners has been overwhelming and we can’t thank them enough for supporting our club.”

The recreational youth program is seeking young soccer players from the age of 4 to 18 for sign-ups to play in the fall season. Registration begins Saturday, March 25 on their website: www.oakdalesoccerclub.org Walk-in for registration will be held at T.L. Davis Sports Complex from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1.
