Earlier this month, the San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation (SJFBF) announced its endorsement of farmer and former County Supervisor Ken Vogel for the 12th Assembly District that covers portions of Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties. The seat is currently held by Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen of Modesto.
“There has been no better friend to Central Valley agriculture than Ken Vogel,” said SJFBF Executive Director Bruce Blodgett. “We need Ken in Sacramento to continue to fight on behalf of our Ag community and Central Valley residents.”
Vogel is a lifelong farmer raising over a hundred acres of walnuts and cherries in the Linden and Farmington areas, marketing through local companies. This year he was awarded the San Joaquin County Farm Bureau President’s award for his lifetime of service to San Joaquin County Agriculture.
“I am humbled to have the endorsement of the San Joaquin County Farm Bureau,” said Vogel. “As Supervisor, agriculture was my number one priority and will continue to be in the State Legislature.”
A farmer, educator and veteran, Vogel is a member and Past Director of the San Joaquin County Farm Bureau. He is also a member of the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau.
