Taste Of Oakdale Tuesday
Chamber of Commerce

The date is getting closer and time is running out to buy advance tickets for the Seventh Annual “Taste of Oakdale” sponsored by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce. Date for the event is Tuesday, Aug. 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bianchi Community Center.

With hunger-stimulating aromas filling the air, those attending will be able to sample through the rows of local food and beverage establishments of wineries, local restaurants, caterers, grocery stores, and other palate pleasing enterprises offering samples for a moveable feast, highlighting what the Oakdale area has to offer.

Tickets are priced at $25 pre-sale or $35 at the door for the delectable catering, food, and beverage event with Oakdale based businesses.

Oakdale Chamber of Commerce CEO Mary Guardiola said over 400 people attend the event annually with over 22 vendors (so far) participating. There will also be cooking demonstrations and a raffle.

“We have a lot of businesses that haven’t participated before and businesses coming to Oakdale,” Guardiola said, naming Last Call Brewing, Togo’s, Rivi’s Wine Bar, and pies from Bloomingcamp Ranch. “The Sierra Dinner Train will also be featuring their ‘beer train’ and sampling micro-brews.”

During the event, patrons cast their votes for their favorite vendors. Last year awards went to:

Best Beverage: Oakdale Grocery Outlet

Best Dessert: Moss Rose Bakery

Best Food: Oakdale Golf & Country Club

Best Overall: Cafe Bliss.
