Story Time Sessions will resume in September.

Preschool Story Time is every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Books, flannelboard stories, fingerplay, and music for preschoolers, ages 3-6, and caregivers. (30 min.)

Wiggle Worms every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, music, dancing, rhythm activities, and fingerplay at this special program perfect for ages 0 to 3 and their caregivers. (25-30 minutes)

Fridays in September will be Lego Days. Join us at 3 p.m. on Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30. Kids can unleash their awesome creativity and we will display these masterpieces in the Library.

Sept. 8 will be our Children’s Craft. We will be making Pokémon-themed items and having fun. Join us at 3:30 p.m. This will be the place to “Stop!”

We will celebrate Curiosity Day 2016 and The 75th Anniversary of Curious George on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 3:30 p.m. Our celebration will include a brief Curious George Story Time, games and activities, free books, and snacks. This will be a wonderful family event. If you’re curious, join us.

On Sept. 14, Teens and Adults will be decorating light switch covers with everything from feathers to seashells to duct tape. Let your creative side “light up” and replace your drab old light switch with a new one that shines. The craft begins at 3:30 p.m.

Our Computer Classes will be learning Basics, Part 1 and Part 2, on Sept. 13 and 20. Internet Basics will be taught on Sept. 27. Classes begin at 10:30 a.m. Please call the Library for Info and be sure to reserve your space, each session is limited to four people. Call 847-4204.

We’ll have some fun with “Talk Like a Pirate Week,” Sept. 19 to 24. Search and find the Parrot in our Children’s library and take home a bit of “treasure.” On Thursday, Sept. 22, you can make your own parrot and an eye patch as well starting at 3:30 p.m. It’ll be fun “mateys!”

Don’t miss our Toddler and Preschool Dance Party on Monday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. We’ll be “rockin’ out” to some of our favorite Story Time music as well as trying the hula, the Twist, and a limbo dance.

Our Wee Move And Play program, featuring unstructured imaginative play for little ones, 5 and under, will be Sept. 26, at 11 a.m.

Our Library Book Club will be reading “Water for Elephants” and meeting to discuss and share on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 11:30 a.m. Sign out your copy at the Library. New members welcome.

Also, on Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. we will offer an Estate Planning Seminar. Learn what is necessary to create your Family Estate Plan and get answers to the most frequently asked questions. Attorney Julie Richardson of Legal Pathways will be the presenter.

Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 3:30 p.m. we will offer “Bach in the Classroom.” Performer Lynn Sampson presents live music in a fun and educational setting. This will be great for all ages.

The Friends of the Oakdale Library are the main sponsors of so many of our programs and prizes. They will hold their monthly meeting on Sept. 26, at 1:30 p.m. You can sign up to join the Friends. Forms and info are available at the Oakdale Library.
