Community Programs

Swim Lesson Registrations are now being accepted. Visit our city web site for swim lessons schedule and pool hours for the upcoming 2016 season. Sign up for swim lessons at City Hall from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. 280 North Third Avenue.

 

Wednesday, April 6th – Stanislaus Regional Transit FAQ Day – 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Come out and get information about the local bus service. A staff member from StaRT will be on site to answer questions you might have about using any of the StaRT transportation services. Gladys Lemmons Senior Center 450 East A Street.

 

Tuesday, April 12th – Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting - 5:00 p.m. City Council Chambers, 277 North Second Avenue.

 

Saturday, April 16th – Advanced Line Dance 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Advanced dancers only. This fast paced class is designed for experienced dancers. Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 South Second Avenue.

 

Tuesday, April 19th – Community Band and Singing Seniors Concert 6:30 p.m.

Free to the public, donations appreciated for OHS Senior Scholarships. Gladys Lemmons Senior Center 450 East A Street.

 

Sunday, April 24th – Line Dancing Fun Sunday 1:00 p.m. Kick-up your heels and join other dancers for a day of line dancing and fun. Admission $7.00, bring comfortable shoes and a snack. Gladys Lemmons Senior Center 450 East A Street.

 

Monday Afternoons - Alzheimer/Dementia Educational and Support Group 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Gladys Lemmons Senior Center 450 East A Street.

 

Tuesday Evenings – Oakdale Community Band Rehearsals – 6:30 p.m. Pick up your instrument, dust it off and get ready to play! There are no auditions for this band, come on down to the Senior Center Tuesday nights to rehearse. Fee $10 per year. Gladys Lemmons Senior Center 450 East A Street.

 

Thursday Evenings – Intro to Line Dancing - 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Line Dancing, for intermediate dancers, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. These classes are continuous programs that can be joined anytime with the purchase of a punch card. $30.00 for a 6 class punch card.

All classes are at the Gladys Lemmons Senior Community Center, 450 East A Street.
