Plans are underway for the 125th reunion of Oakdale Joint Union High School; with a group of interested alums meeting recently to get the effort started and appoint committees.
Oakdale Joint Union High School was founded 125 years ago and the celebration, inviting alumni from throughout the years, is being planned for Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club. The next meeting of the planning committee will be held on Monday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at the home of a committee member. The reunion dinner/celebration event cost has been set at $65 per person. Publicity signs to be placed at major spots in Oakdale are being discussed, as well as sponsorships and live music for the event. The reunion dinner is being planned in coordination with the 2018 Homecoming Week at Oakdale High, with a parade on Friday afternoon, Oct. 12 and the Friday night football game.
Meanwhile, the Class of 1968 – Oakdale High School and Riverbank High School are planning their 50-year reunion on Sept. 22, 2018.
