Oakdale Youths Represent At Challenge of Champions

Oakdale youth rodeo competitors represented the “Cowboy Capital of the World” among nine districts at one of the California High School Rodeos premiere rodeos, “Challenge of Champions” March 23-25 in Plymouth.

In March, they had a premier rodeo where they invited the top three contestants in each events from all districts. Oakdale High contestants representing District 5 where: Terrilyn Balaam, Caden Farquer, Colton Farquer, Tanner Kent, Austin Paddock, Shae Serpa & Katelin New our Queen. When it was all said and done three of Oakdale’s contestants returned home with awards.

Colton Farquer won Reserve All Around, Caden Farquer won Rookie Cowboy and Shae Serpa took second in pole bending.

The District 5 High School Rodeo Finals will be held in Oakdale at the Rodeo grounds on April 28.
