Work at the Yosemite Avenue and F Street intersection in downtown Oakdale is scheduled to begin Monday night, Aug. 24 at 10 p.m., running through Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 6 a.m., as part of a roadway improvement project.
The project has been made possible through close coordination between the City of Oakdale, Caltrans District 10, Maintenance, Engineering and Traffic Operations teams. The participating agencies have developed a plan to move this much-needed improvement forward while maintaining safe traffic flow through the area.
Motorists in the area late night Monday into early Tuesday are advised that a detour will be in place during the roadwork, and a comprehensive Traffic Management Plan has been developed to help safely direct traffic around the work zone.
The repair project is designed to “help improve the intersection significantly,” said officials, and they are also asking for the community’s patience and understanding while the work is underway.
Though the bulk of the work will be during the overnight hours, motorists are reminded to slow down, follow the detours in place and give Caltrans crews room to work safely.
