Monday, July 19
Modesto Fire Chief 3 is part of Strike Team 4201C assigned to the Tamarack Fire; over 23,000 acres burning with 0% containment. Major threats of thunderstorms and flash flooding.
Sunday, July 18
Division Chief Tietjen deployed as a strike team leader on XST4201C assigned to Division K on the Tamarack Fire.
Crews spent the morning training on various skills.
Saturday, July 17
2:51 p.m. - Crews responded to the area of Frymire Road in Knights Ferry for reports of a person requiring assistance after capsizing in Rushing Rapids. Seven people ended up requiring assistance from the river; one was transported to an area hospital for a leg injury.
Thursday, July 15
2:49 p.m. - Modesto Engine 1, Battalion 1 and Stanislaus Grass 21 responded to a small vegetation fire along Tuolumne River Regional Park near Tioga Dr. The fire was started in a transient encampment. No injuries were reported.
3:39 p.m. - Crews responded to a vehicle accident at Plainview Road and Roselle Avenue. Crews arrived on scene to find two vehicles involved. No injuries were reported.
