The 2017 St. Mary’s International Festival is on the schedule for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17 in Oakdale.

The festival is designed to celebrate the diverse cultures of Oakdale and will feature events both days.

On Saturday, Sept. 16 the church at Olive and Oak will host a Western BBQ dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for kids 6 to 12. Kids five and under eat free.

On Sunday, Sept. 17, the festival begins after the 10:30 a.m. bilingual Mass and ends at 5 p.m.

There will be a live auction at noon on Sunday, with the silent auction running from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned are a kids carnival area with games, activities, a rock climbing wall and more, as well as international food booths, and live entertainment including singers, musicians and dancers. The food offerings will feature American, Mexican, Italian, Portuguese, Filipino, and German cuisine.

The celebration is open to the community.
