Early Morning Fatal On Orange Blossom

A two vehicle collision on Orange Blossom Road early morning Thursday, Jan. 3 claimed one life.

California Highway Patrol out of Modesto responded to the call just after 6:35 a.m. Thursday, with a report of two vehicles involved near the intersection of Orange Blossom Road and Horseshoe Road, between Oakdale and Knights Ferry. Both lanes of Orange Blossom were blocked while emergency crews worked on the scene and two tow trucks were also called in. CHP issued a call to the coroner at 7:30 a.m., with the report of one fatality in the crash.

Vehicles involved, according to initial information from the scene, were a white four-door Honda Accord and a small white pick-up truck.

No other information was available regarding the cause of the crash or the identity of the deceased.

The investigation is ongoing.
