An informational meeting regarding the homeless in Oakdale is scheduled for Thursday, July 23 and everyone in the community is encouraged to attend.

The session will be hosted in Johnson Hall at the Community United Methodist Church, 1480 Poplar St., Oakdale and is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This will be an informational meeting with a question and answer session as well, hosted by Oakdale Rescue Mission, ORM.

The tentative agenda includes an overview of the Oakdale Rescue Mission, frequently asked questions about the homeless situation and Oakdale’s homeless, the vision and plans of ORM and the collaboration between the community and the county.

Representatives expected to attend the session will include those from the city, police department, hospital, Family Support Network, city council, service clubs, local businesses and the county homelessness coalition. All will be available to offer insights and perspective.
