Welcome to the world Neal Thomas Stig Burroughs, born September 18 to Rett and Justina in Fort Carson, Colorado. Neal weighed in at 9 pounds, 8 ounces and was 22½ inches long. Proud grandparents are Barbara and Lynn Burroughs of Knights Ferry. Now Barb can’t complain about just having grand-dogs!

Randy and Bev Noe have killed four rattlesnakes this last week. They are on the move for winter. Bonnie and John Witzke have killed nine since May. The dogs usually alert them to the snakes and Randy killed one and the dog was still barking and so he and Beverly looked for another and Randy almost
 stepped on it!

The Knights Ferry School board meeting is October 13th at 6 p.m. at the school.

Don’t forget the Community Club meeting on Thursday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse. It is a dinner meeting and the 48th annual Pumpkin Roll’s plans will be finalized.

The town yard sale was busy with buying and selling Sunday. It was a nice day, not too hot or cold. Hopefully everyone had a fun time getting new homes for their good stuff.

Your reporter and hubby, Lee went to Stockton to watch the Bull Riding put on by son, Jeff, the Quarter-Circle S Production Company. The quarter-circle S is Jeff’s brand, and was Lee’s and before that Vincent Shearer’s brand. Of course grandson Wyatt was there and the grandparents enjoyed playing with him. His Aunt Patti Sandoval was also there, watching over Wyatt. Alex Naccarato had two bulls there, Cougar Slayer and Squaw Dream. They were good bucking bulls.
