Maureen McKibban has returned from Connecticut where she visited with her daughter Kate, son-in-law Graeme and granddaughter Emma. Maureen enjoyed watching Emma climb up things and how Emma liked the Christmas tree. While there they went to New York City and took a tour of Rockefeller Center, watching the skaters and seeing the tree. It was a cold windy day, 28 degrees. They also walked down Wall Street, saw Tiffany’s (but did not buy), walked on Broadway, went to Ground Zero (very touching) and Penn Station, which is under Madison Square Garden. It was a long day but Maureen got a lot of sightseeing done. Emma opened some early Christmas presents from grandma. Maureen wishes Emma lived closer!

The River’s Edge will have Open Mic night on the first Thursday of the month, Karaoke every 2nd and 4th Friday, and the band “Research and Development” every Wednesday night. On the last Karaoke night it was ugly sweater night and Phil Frymire won!
