Lydia Speedy celebrated her 102nd birthday in her home in Modesto! Lydia and her husband, Clarence, owned and operated the Knights Ferry Hotel from 1950 until 1978. She enjoyed a giant chocolate cake with her long-time friends, Bob and Marilyn Taylor and Sue and Robert Taylor. Friends and family sent her birthday wishes from across the states and even in Australia. Happy birthday, Lydia!
The Odd Fellows Bald Mountain encampment #4 had an official visit from Grand Patriarch of the Grand Encampment of California, Dave Rosenberg. They had a wonderful evening with dinner and fellowship with friends!
Ellen Wearin, Barbara Shook, Joan Brezindine and Linda Morris took a girls-only trip to San Francisco. They went to see Hamilton, ate dinner at Tadich Grill, and toured Pier 39. Linda was impressed with the history of Hamilton that was packed into the three-hour musical and she noted that Tadich Grill is the oldest restaurant in San Francisco as well as in California. It was a memorable trip!
