Last week, OID had another pipe leak in town that took a few days to repair. During that time, the Water Plant was unable to provide service to the town and the town relied on the Plant’s ‘potable reserve’ water until the leak was fixed. The town was asked to conserve water until the leak was fixed. Thank you, Tracy Griesner for providing updates on the water status while the leak was being fixed!

David Voortman will begin a new job as Assistant Athletic Director at Modesto Junior College next month.

Local children who attend Knights Ferry School, Oakdale Junior High, and Oakdale High School are beginning the countdown until the school year begins on August 4th! I am sure the teachers and staff have already begun preparing the classrooms and the campus!

Mark your calendars, the Knights Ferry Music Festival located at the 50s Roadhouse is September 3, 2022 and gates open at 11am. Tickets are $25 each and a portion of proceeds will help Knights Ferry School’s music program and scholarships at VMIRocks School of Rock. There will be vendors, food, and lots of music. The headliner is Beer Drinkers & Hell Raiser, a ZZTop tribute band and other great bands will perform including the Whiskey Skulls, Triple D, and SUNDUST. Tickets for the Knights Ferry Music Festival can be purchased on the Eventbrite website.
