Last week was Oakdale High School’s senior scholarship night where the seniors were awarded scholarships for college. There were a few Knights Ferry alumni seniors awarded a generous amount of scholarships including River McCarthy, Ben Cassinetto, Deagan Sweet, and Vincent Peterson. The local organizations that offered scholarships included the Garden Club, Community Club, the Parent Teacher Club, and the Odd Fellows. Each organization determines their criteria in order for the students to be considered for their scholarship.
After graduation on May 26, the seniors are invited to attend Sober Grad night. The event is aimed at preventing tragic accidents on graduation night and it is a highly anticipated event for the students. Contact Megan Peterson at 209-402-4761 to donate items or financial contributions, another special way to help is to sponsor a student’s $60 ticket!

The Knights Ferry Art Studio offered a free workshop for kids to make a gift for mom on Mother’s Day. The studio offers various workshops for people of all ages and skill levels. Drop by to find out more information about what they have to offer!

Knights Ferry School kicked off Teacher’s Week by providing a “Parfait Bar” in the breakroom for the staff!
Don’t forget to attend the Knights Ferry School Art Show at the Community Club on May 18 from 3pm-6pm. The art show will feature works of art from all grades! The Junior High will be selling baked goods to raise money for their graduation trip.

The General Store and Rick’s Saloon and Cafe have new operating hours. The Saloon will be open: Tuesday through Thursday 11:30 am-10:00 pm; Friday through Saturday 11:30 am-2:00 am; and Sunday 11:30 am-10:00 pm. The Store is open 10:00 am-8:00 pm. Please note they are closed on Mondays!
