In the 47-year history of the Knights Ferry Pumpkin Roll this was the first time with RAIN! Everyone wanted to roll so… on it went! The rain was an added element to the strategic planning of rolling the pumpkin down the street. In the 5 years and under category, Hayden Durham and Jaylynn Casey (on the line) took home trophies. The seniors rolled next with Allen Oberst and Linda Morris winning the genuine simulated gold trophies. In the 6-12 years category, Eden Cassinetto and Alan Casey took home the trophies. The teen category saw Austin Thiry and Ally Heck winning. The women’s category saw Bethany Taylor winning and Chris Peterson won for the men. This year there were only just over 200 signed up to roll, half of the number of last year. Everyone was wet but did not care. The craft fair was crowded and the Garden Club sold out of Pumpkin Rolls. The KFS Junior High sold pizza and the ORFD sold tri-tip sandwiches. It was a very interesting day.
