The Knights Ferry Community Church is sponsoring its annual All Girls Tea on May 23rd at 2 p.m. at the River’s Edge. Bring your favorite hat and celebrate all the hats women wear.

Condolences go out to Sharon Page and family on the death of her mom, Frances Nadine Owen Lampley. She leaves her four daughters, Carol, Sharon, Donna and Norma, 12 grandchildren including Knights Ferry’s Jeremy Page, and 22 great grandchildren including Madison and Haley of Knights Ferry.

Also condolences go out to Pam Fondse of the Knights Ferry Boutique on the death of her mother, Chelsea Jean Parshey of Ripon. She leaves her husband Dean and three children, five grandchildren including Wendi Eaton from the Boutique, and nine great grandchildren.

At the Knights Ferry Garden Club meeting, members set a day to clean around the flagpole at the cemetery and to hold the June meeting at the Lavender Farm in Escalon.

Pat Pfefferle reports her son Sam Johnson will be an intern at Ebay for the summer. Older son Will Johnson, USCG, is being stationed in Mobile, Alabama, as an instructor for re-certification. No more trips to Hawaii for Pat!

Knights Ferry Parent/Faculty Club’s new officers are Shelli Borba, President, Paige Jones, Vice-President, Lori Lubeck, Treasurer and Tasha Sweet, Secretary.

At the Knights Ferry School Board meeting, Sophie Jones, representing the Fifth and Sixth Grades, gave a power point book report that all children had to do this quarter. Also, on display were projects on China from the Fifth and Sixth grades and artwork from the Third and Fourth grades. The Board approved the K-6 Houghton Mifflin Medallion Adoption and received a budget update. Junior High Teacher, Shelli Johnson submitted her resignation. She is going back to school full time to become a Child Psychologist.

June 6th is Homecoming in Knights Ferry. Breakfast at the Odd Fellows Hall and enjoy the good food and socialization, then go to the Museum to check out the displays and reminisce.

School is winding down with Graduation on June 2nd and the last day June 3rd.
