Sunday Breakfast was well attended, as was the community yard sale on the tennis court. Lots of good items were for sale.

At the Knights Ferry Community Club dinner meeting last Thursday our guest was eighth grader Jude Krick, covering the meeting as a reporter for Knights Ferry School’s Paw Prints Press. Discussion item was the October 15th town clean up. Miller’s Hall, the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Community Club and residents are cleaning the town (Love KF) before Pumpkin Roll. Get those gloves out and join in. Also discussed was the Pumpkin Roll with the next meeting devoted to that subject. Gayle McKinley will be handling the craft booths. Her number is 543-2614.

Last Saturday the Fire Department was kept busy with a fire by the Tulloch turnoff, EMS call on Morrison and a fire on Orange Blossom that brought the helicopter and two borate bombers that circled over the area. That fire was at Orange Blossom and upper Horseshoe at the Horseshoe Recreation Area (Army Corps Park). Looks like it started on the road or in the parking area.

There will be a celebration of life for Ryan Russell for family and friends on September 17th at the Community Center at 5:00 p.m.

Knights Ferry School board will meet on September 8th at 5:30 p.m. at the school. Board members are Diane Noon, Kym Cassaretto, Lisa Frymire, John Sturgis and Andrea Weaver-Gonzales
