The Odd Fellows Pancake Breakfast is coming up this Sunday! It’s a delicious meal and a great way to engage with the locals in town.

Knights Ferry has been fairly busy lately; there have been quite a few groups of day hikers on the trails and lots of bicycle groups on Orange Blossom. I have also seen an uptick of groups that bring their activities out this way such as RC cars and dog hiking groups. It is wonderful to see people use our recreational areas as they are intended!

Last weekend, a group of friends gathered to do a memorial hike out in Knights Ferry for a young girl whose life was cut short by a drunk driver on the highway. They were enjoying some of the local nature views as way to remember a young and beautiful young woman and it truly made my heart so happy!

You may know him as the kid riding down the road on a unicycle but Troy Peterson was selected as the Jostens Renaissance Student of the Month for January 2022 at Oakdale High School! Students are nominated by members of our staff for reasons such as outstanding achievement or effort in the classroom, positive citizenship, or for improving their academic performance. His staff nominated Troy for being a great person. Congratulations, Troy!
