Haskin, Kay Unite In Midday Ceremony

Peter Alan Haskin of Escalon and Katrina Lari Kay of Modesto were wed on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010.

Presiding over the double ring ceremony was Officiant Frank Busby. The midday ceremony was hosted at Wine and Roses in Lodi. A reception followed with 110 guests in attendance.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Laura Kay of Escalon. She is a 2006 graduate of Escalon High School. She graduated from Delta College in 2009 and is continuing her education at California State University, Stanislaus. She is studying for her teaching credential. She is currently a day care teacher at Escalon Children’s Services, where she has worked for five years.

Assisting the bride as Maid of Honor was friend Jane Jimerfield of Escalon. Maken Winton was a junior bridesmaid and Rylee Winton was the flower girl. Both are nieces of the groom. Attendants wore long deep red gowns and featured natural blooms including pinecones and pine to incorporate the holidays.

The bride was given in marriage by her father Robert Kay. She wore a diamond necklace belonging to the groom’s sister.

The groom is the son of Larry and Monika Haskin of Escalon. He is a 2004 graduate of Escalon High and previously worked for Union Pacific Railroad. He is currently employed with TGS Transportation where he is currently the Operations Manager of the Lathrop Office.

Standing beside him as Best Man was his brother Nick Haskin. Christian Kay, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Serving as attendants to the bride and groom were: Kristen Winton, sister of the groom; Jon Kay, brother of the bride; Salena Cook, friend of the bride; Jon Driscoll, friend of the groom; Alyssa Nielsen, friend of the bride; and Kevin Nielsen, friend of the groom.
