Heather Marie Forrest of Lodi and Aaron Donald Nilsson of Modesto exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 10, 2011.
They married in Angels Camp and Price Burlington of Lodi, Godfather of the bride, presided over the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Allen Forrest of Lodi and Linda McClung of West Point, CA.
She wore a Jim Hjelm ivory satin trumpet bridal gown, v-neckline with soft drape front and back, sleeveless bodice with alencon lace midriff, ivory satin ribbon, godets at back and a chapel train. In place of a veil, she wore a flower and feather headpiece in her hair. The bride’s bouquet was all white, consisting of veronica, chrysanthemum, dahlias, freesia, fringe tulips, lizzy, scabiosa, and daisy. Heirlooms or keepsakes worn by the bride: Something old worn was a pair of diamond halo stud earrings; something new worn was of a pair of J. Crew ivory satin peep toe heels. Something borrowed was an elephant charm attached to the bride’s bouquet (from her mother) and something blue was a custom made label sewn inside the bride’s gown with blue stitching “Aaron & Heather Nilsson, September 10, 2011”
Maid of Honor was Ashley Pickard, cousin of the bride from San Jose, and attendants were Jessa Hartford, Sacramento, best friend of the bride; Kelsey Burlington, Lodi, godsister of the bride and Natalie Nilsson, Sacramento, sister of the groom.
Flowers and gowns of the attendants: Yellow and white bouquet consisting of solidago, lizzy, crespedia balls, freesia, yellow buttons, and soft yellow dahlias. Bill Levkoff chiffon gown with a v neck charmeuse bodice, large charmeuse flowers adorning the empire waist.
The groom’s parents are Donald Nilsson of Stockton and Sandy Mercer or Modesto.
Serving as Best Man was Clint Knudsen of Modesto, best friend of the groom. Ushers were Jeff Pickard, San Jose, cousin of the bride; Ryan Bashor, Sacramento, friend of the groom; Tyler Nilsson, Modesto, son of the groom.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Allen Forrest.
Ringbearer was RJ Bashor of Sacramento, son of friends of the bride and groom, and flower girl was Elyssa Nilsson of Modesto, daughter of the groom.
There were 75 people in attendance at the ceremony and the reception was held at Tryon Ranch, Angels Camp.
The bride works as Service Writer for Mid Cal Tractor in Stockton and the groom works as a Service Technician for Mid Cal Tractor in Stockton.
They have settled in Escalon after enjoying a one-week honeymoon in Cancun.
