Janay Andrea de Visser of Escalon and Ryan Peter Winters of Ripon have announced their plans to wed this summer.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ripon Christian High School, Class of 2005 and California State University Stanislaus with a Bachelors of Arts in Agriculture Studies, concentration in Business and Economics, Class of 2009.

She is the daughter of Peter and Rena de Visser of Escalon and her siblings are Adam and Heidi de Visser and Josh and Sandra Cunningham.

She is employed by American AgCredit.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Ripon Christian High School, Class of 2001 and California State University Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelors of Science in Plant Science, Minors in Plant Protection Science and Agricultural Business, Class of 2005.

His parents are Bob and Denese Winters of Ripon and his siblings are Nick Winters and Altie Winters.

He is employed by Winters Farming Company.

The couple became engaged when Ryan proposed Jan. 29 on a riverfront beach where he planted five flats of flowers reading: “Janay will you marry me?”

The wedding is planned for July, 2012 in Escalon.
