Oakdale Soccer Club competitive program is continuing to develop and they are looking for players and coaches that love the game of soccer. They welcome any interested players to tryouts and also welcome any coaches interested in coaching a team to contact program officials. Oakdale Soccer is building its competitive program to be centered around building individually skilled players within a team that solidifies like a family that has a “love for the game” of soccer.
Tryouts will be held for various age groups between May 4 and May 24. Players planning to try out should try to attend as many of the tryout sessions as possible for their age group.
Age groups include:
U8 and U9 Boys (Year of Birth: 2012-2011) –Tryouts Saturday May 4, 10:30 a.m., Drainage Basin at Greger and Crane Road and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays from May 6-24, Parkwoods Way and J Street Park.
U11 and U12 Boys (2009-2008) – 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6-24, Oakdale Junior High School.
U15 Boys (2005) – 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6-24, Oakdale Junior High School.
U8 and U9 Girls (2012-2011) –5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, May 6-24, Parkwoods Way and J Street Park.
U10 and U11 Girls (2010-2009) – 5 p.m. to 6:30 .p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6-24, Parkwoods Way and J Street Park.
U16 Girls (2007-2004) – 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6-24, Oakdale Junior High School.
There are also several existing teams and some age groups that are still looking for coaches.
Those planning to attend should come to as many sessions as possible, sign in with coach or team manager, wear a white T-shirt or general jersey, bring shin guards, soccer cleats and water. Attendees will complete a Tryout Application.
