trophy
Hoisting their well-deserved AFC Championship trophy the Varsity Stampede football team will be heading to Atwater High School for the Super Bowl.

With a convincing 27-8 victory over Manteca in the AFC Championship game, Oakdale’s varsity Stampede is heading to the Super Bowl. Minaya Olivo set the tone for Oakdale with a 70-yard opening kickoff return for a quick 7-0 lead for the Stampede. Oakdale never looked back as Peyton Bradford and Olivo tallied up the team’s touchdowns to lead the team to the Super Bowl. Oakdale will clash with the Modesto Broncos on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Atwater High School with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Junior Varsity boys also suited up Saturday when they took on the unbeaten Ceres Seahawks. Oakdale fell prey to the Seahawks, 38-20. Zeke Saffer and Kyle Redding each scored for the Stampede. Although the team fell short of the Super Bowl, Oakdale will play in the Friendship Bowl at Atwater High School Saturday, Nov 21 at 10 a.m. against the Central Valley 49ers.
