When ‘Ei8hts’ are just not enough, the fourth annual Crazy Ei8hts Trail Run Series will sign off its final leg with an added half-marathon option, on Sunday, Aug. 28, at Lake Camanche. All will be gathering at the South Shore staging area, and meeting up at the Turkey Hill Equestrian Campground, at 11700 Wade Lane in Wallace.

All the Crazy Ei8hts’s trail runs were created so anyone of any ability can participate. The first two trail runs offer runners a choice of either 8K or 8-Mile distances. For the upcoming final date, participants can still choose trail-run distances between the two 8s, or a half marathon. The trails are hilly, scenic, and hard-packed. The Aug. 28 race has an 8:30 a.m. start time.

Pre-registration fees are $40 for either the 8K or 8M events, and $60 for the Half Marathon registration. For race-day registration, add $5. Race-day check-in and registration begins at 7 a.m., with the start of all three races following at 8:30 a.m.

Registration includes custom T-shirt, customized Crazy Ei8hts Barking Frog performance headwear, BBQ, and beer garden post event (for those 21 years and older, only). Awards will be given to first place in each age group in 10-year brackets, and overall men and women’s winners receive a special Altra trail running prize pack.
