The Oakdale Stampede football teams hosted the Turlock Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 17 at The Corral. Oakdale’s peewee team fell 27-6 but has improved over the course of the season. The junior varsity team suffered a tough loss as Turlock scored a touchdown with less than two minutes to play to take a 20-18 lead, which was ultimately the final score. Tyler Brown and Zeke Saffer both found the end zone for the Stampede squad. Oakdale’s varsity team won their seventh game of the season in convincing fashion with a 40-8 victory over the Bulldogs. Oakdale has two games remaining on the regular season, both on the road. Oct. 24 they head to Livingston and on Halloween the boys finish the regular season at Modesto where they will take on the Broncos.
