Mixed Results For Mustang Swim Teams

In a double dual meet that featured Ripon, East Union and Oakdale on Friday, March 23 the Oakdale boys defeated East Union 116-52 and the girls also defeated East Union 137-32. However, Ripon’s teams defeated Oakdale 101-69 and 107-63.

In boys action, Stash Perry took first place for Oakdale in a pair of events, the 200 and 500 freestyle. Ethan Perry claimed first in the 100 backstroke and third in the 50 freestyle. Caden Nord continues to have an impressive season as he placed second in the 100 butterfly. Chandler Neal took second in pair of races, the 50 and 100 freestyle. Aron Cameron placed second in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 100 freestyle.

For the Lady Mustangs, Madi Blanc took second in the 100 breaststroke. Kassidy Houck placed third in the 500 freestyle. Whitney Lee placed fourth in a pair of events, the 100 butterfly and the 500 freestyle. Daytona McGinnis took second in the 100 butterfly and third in the 50 freestyle. Jensen Perry placed second in both the 50 and 200 freestyle. Kayla Peterson placed second in both the 200 IM and in the 100 backstroke.

With schools in the area heading to spring break, the team will be off until Friday, April 13 when they go to Sierra for Valley Oak League action.
