Hanko Competes In Rodeo

Frank Phillips College Rodeo placed fourth out of 17 colleges in the Southwest Region for the Men’s Team at the Texas Tech College Rodeo held in mid-October.

Freshman Zach Hanko from Oakdale competed for the Plainsmen in Bareback Riding and placed seventh in the long round, sixth in the short round, and sixth in the average. Competition was staged Oct. 13 through 15.

Many other FPC Rodeo athletes had successful runs, but fell just short of the Top 10 Short Round. Over 500 athletes were entered at the Texas Tech college rodeo, competing within various events.
