Oakdale High School alumni Maddi and Kindra Hackbarth have decided to transfer out of the Fresno State softball program. The twins are also heading out of the Mountain West Conference and into the Pac 12 to play at Arizona State.

During their freshman year at Fresno State, Maddi played 26 games before having her season shortened due to injuries. Maddi blasted two home runs and collected 10 RBI. On Feb. 25 she hit a grand slam against Idaho State. Maddi was then sidelined with a concussion that kept her out of the line up the rest of the season, though she felt she could have returned before season’s end. Kindra played in 44 games for the Bulldogs, including having six starts in right field. She had a slugging percentage of .342 and had a .237 overall average. Defensively, Kindra was perfect during her games, as she committed no errors on the year.
