Golfers Remain Perfect In VOL Competition

The 2018 campaign has so far been a promising one for the Oakdale High School boys golf team. In their latest match Oakdale hit the links at The Reserve at Spanos Park to clash with Kimball and Central Catholic. Oakdale defeated Kimball 198-270 and Central Catholic 187-284 using holes 10 through 18 on the course.

Freshman Ryan Meyer shot 38 and 34 (72 on the day). David Myrtakis shot 40 and 35 (75 total) and Max Moore shot 40 and 38 against the Jaguars and Raiders. Calvin Reed finished one stroke behind Moore at 79 total, while Tristan Jaramillo (81) and Kyle Seese (111) wrapped up the day for the Mustangs.

With spring break this week, the golfers next return to action on Tuesday, April 10 on the road against East Union at 2:45 p.m.

Oakdale will enter the Valley Oak League showdown with a perfect 10-0 record. The Mustangs return home to play Central Catholic on Thursday, April 12 at Oakdale Golf and Country Club.
