Scoring 35 points in one game is a lot like committing a felony. Both garner the attention of the community and both are likely to land your mug shot in the newspaper. Oakdale High senior Austin Archuleta put up 35 in a thrilling Homecoming win over Kimball on Feb. 1.

He sank eight three-point shots and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the foul line in the most prolific game of his prep career. The effort dazzled a huge crowd in the Mustang gym and made for an easy selection as the Oakdale Leader Athlete of the Week.
