Dear Editor,

I would like to thank the Oakdale Joint Unified School District for again providing the opportunity for our young people to investigate science through the Science Fair. The two women who provided the organization, Brenda Kindred and Kathy Jenkins put in many, many hours of work to make this fair happen. I want to especially thank them. As a grandmother of one of the participants, I would like the public to know how valuable this experience is for students. It would be so wonderful if all students went through the investigative process. My granddaughter learned so much from her experience. She learned to make decisions, to put down information on paper, she learned to get data that helped with the experiment, but most of all she learned how to begin something and follow it through to the end. What a perfect venue to do this. Please continue to provide this for the students of Oakdale.
