Many Thanks To Community

Dear Editor,

It is our firm belief that it is never too late to say thank you. As we begin a new year, Center for Human Services (CHS) – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center would like to thank all those that helped make the 2015 holiday season bright for so many in our community. CHS – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center is especially thankful to all of our donors. We’d like to acknowledge Oakdale High School’s Leadership group for their donation of coats, canned foods and toys and Oakdale High School FFA for their donation of canned goods and hygiene supplies. We are so grateful for the partnerships that have been created over the years. CHS – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center also received toy donations from Toys for Tots, Fair Oaks Elementary from their Shoe Box Project, Ball Corporation, coats from C-21 M&M Oakdale and Central Valley Association of Realtors, as well as several private donations.

Once again, our Christmas Angel Giving Tree Project was wildly successful this year. We owe many thanks to the businesses who put up Angel Trees. A special thank you to St. Mary’s Church, Oakdale Family Church of the Nazarene, Steves Chevrolet, Koru Power Yoga Studio in Oakdale and Turlock, Learning Tree Preschool, House of Tykes, 507 Day Spa & Salon, and The Oakdale Leader. These businesses make this project possible. We are so grateful for their partnership and passion. We couldn’t have done the project without the wonderful help of several amazing volunteers; Michelle Kendig, Laura and Eli Frazer, Cheryl Aloisio and her amazing children, Taylor, Zachary, and Mason, and Hope Silva. They were our link to the businesses and churches this year. It is individuals like them, and all the community members who spent their time and money to make a child’s Christmas a little brighter, that make this community so amazing! Without you, this project would not have been possible. More than 550 children had a special Christmas thanks to the time and generosity of those we have listed. Thank you for helping us to change lives and build futures in the Oakdale Community.

Best Wishes,

CHS - Oakdale Family Resource

and Counseling Center Staff

Kudos For Oak Valley Hospital

Dear Editor,

We would like to say how much we appreciate the wonderful care and concern on the recent stay of Joanne in our Oakdale Hospital. The nursing staff made us feel like Joanne was the only patient in the hospital.

Also, we would like to extend a special ‘Thank You’ to Dr. Ed Chock and Dr. Bruce Blackhart, who made the experience so much easier for all of us.
