Many To Thank For Success

 

Dear Editor,

Thank you to the people of Oakdale for coming out to Burchell Park for National Night Out 2018. Thanks to you we had a great showing of support for crime prevention in celebrating this event. Now I would like to thank the people and businesses and companies that made it a great event.

Thank you to Mr. Kevin Pelletier, general manager, for the Martin Brower Company, which supplied all the hamburgers and hot dogs with buns, etc. Also Mr. Alan Cotich, of Sconza Candy Co., a special thanks to Ms. Kathleen Farreen who sang the National Anthem, thanks to Firenze Ristorante, American Smog, Army Corps of Engineers, Black Oak Casino, Café Bliss, Chicken Ranch Casino, Cindy’s Restaurant, Con Agra Foods, Domino’s Pizza, East Side Mosquito Abatement, Family Support Network, Farmers Insurance owner Ingrid Walker, Glen Earl Kettle Corn, Gilton Solid Waste Management, Gold Dust Pizza, Guarino’s Pizzeria, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Haidlen Ford. Now for all the people that helped make the event a success: Judy Alvey, Mike and Diane Hancock, Aaliyah and Memphis Carr, Brooklyn Pope, Alan Cotich, Sandra Goncalves (who donated the sno-cone machine), Bill Johanson who helped with the car show, Elaine and Reynold Detter, my wife Lynette Kjos, Jennifer Koziki, cotton candy expert. Also Deanna Slocum, John Vargo, the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Modesto and a huge thank you to some of Oakdale’s great youth, who helped with the set up and takedown on a moment’s notice. They are Morgan Barios, Tyler Wylie and Evan Waite.
