Joseph F. ‘Jack’ Costa, 76, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, Feb. 4.

He was born in Palo Alto and raised in Santa Clara before moving to his family ranch on Highway 4. He was a longtime resident of Oakdale.

Mr. Costa retired from A.L. Gilbert’s after 25 years of driving truck.

He is survived by his family, Valerie Renslow (Curt Paulus), Cindy (Jim) Reep, Kathy (Jeff) Larson, Joe Costa; one sister; five brothers; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Mass will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oakdale.
