Ronnie Lawrence Davis Sr. was born February 27, 1940 in Cortez, CO to Tommy and Magnolia Davis. He passed away January 14, 2019 at his home in Waterford, CA surrounded by his family with his loving wife holding his hand. As a child Ronnie’s family frequently moved before settling in Riverbank, CA in the 1950’s.

After he and Patricia married they moved to Oregon and started our family. Ronnie attended and graduated from Chemeketa College in Salem, OR with a degree in forestry. He worked jobs in construction and for the U.S. Forest Service before settling in Waterford, CA where he went to work for and retired from Hershey Chocolate Company. Ronnie was a devoted husband, father and family man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who shared his love of the outdoors with his family. He had an appreciation for books and reading. He loved rides in the country and trips to the beach.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Davis of Waterford, CA. He is also survived by daughter Jody Davis of Waterford, CA, sons Ronnie L. Davis Jr. (Debbie), Timothy Davis (Gretchen), Craig Davis ( Annie) all of Oakdale and daughter in law Sherry Davis-Adrian of Modesto, CA. Ronnie was blessed with a true legacy of 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. He is also survived by his brother Norman Davis of Oklahoma and sisters Patsy Declue of Oregon and Vesta Beckham of Mississippi along with numerous nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in law.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Tommy and Magnolia Davis and sister Gwen Weathers. We find comfort in knowing he is rejoicing in heaven with his beloved son Christopher L Davis Sr. and beautiful great granddaughter Olivia Emma Grace Davis.

Final interment will be at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon, CA. Graveside services will be announced at a later date.
