Ronald Eugene Blevins, 47, of Escalon passed away on Thursday, July 18.

He was born to Ina and Joe Kleinschmit on Feb. 25, 1966 and graduated from Davis High School. He was a maintenance worker for Richland Markets for 24 years. He was a very compassionate person, volunteering his time to the Greek Orthodox Church in Modesto, the Salvation Army and serving food to the needy. He loved to go to the Delta, he had just bought a boat with his brother Don. He also loved to play poker with his friends. He never had a bad thing to say about anybody. His friends and family were very important to him.

Survivors include his mother, Ina Kleinschmit of Escalon; his siblings Don Blevins and sister-in-law Tammy Blevins of Escalon and Steven Blevins and Joyce Reed, both of Klamath Falls, OR, and Sherree Brace of Turlock; his aunt Haizelle Petrucelli of Campo, CA; his uncle Lyle Adams of Sonora; his nieces and nephews, Cody Blevins, Kelsey Blevins and Haidey Blevins, all of Escalon, Casey Blevins and Brandon Blevins of Oregon, Angie Hall of Santa Margarita, CA, Teresa Brace and Timothy Brace of Turlock; his great nieces and nephews, Cheyenne Blevins, Cody Blevins Jr., Weston Blevins and Hanna Blevins, all of Escalon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe D. Kleinschmit, grandpa Don H. Adams, grandma Irene M. Adams, sister Wanda Weifenbach, aunt Denise Adams, uncle Don Adams, his niece Judy Ann Marie Blevins, and his nephew Dalton Dennis Blevins.

He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., Escalon. A church service will be held Thursday, July 25 at noon at Trinity Church Assembly of God, 1900 California St., Escalon.

Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army in Modesto.
