Olivia Chavez departed her loving family on June 2, 2021. Olivia was born in Concho, AZ on Jan. 11, 1941, to the late Josie and Sam Gallegos.
She raised her children with love and devotion in Oakdale, CA with her late husband, Mercy. She was a homemaker. She loved to cook and work in her garden. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family.
She is survived by her sons, Robert and Ruben both of Oakdale; two grandchildren, Kevin and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Jr. and Kaylee; brothers, Sam Gallegos and James Gallegos; and sisters, Lucy Span and Jenny Flores.
Olivia was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Cisneros, Virginia Paoloni, Flora Gallegos, Marty Morales; and brother, Jimmy Joe.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be on Thursday, June 10 at 10 a.m. Both will be held at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson.
