Joann B. Cardoso, 71, died from a stroke on Monday, Feb. 15 at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco.

She was born in Tampa, FL and was a resident of Oakdale for 45 years.

Mrs. Cardoso was a certified nursing assistant for 25 years.

She attended New Life Nazarene Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Hendricks-Stephens of Oakdale; sons, Terry Lee Cardoso of Oakdale and Gary Lynn Cardoso of Knights Ferry; brother, Sonny Busbee of Florida; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cardoso; siblings, Mary Lyons and Danny Busbee; and parents, Alva Busbee and Rosa Gullo.

A service was held on Feb. 19 at New Life Nazarene Church, Riverbank.
