Hazel Marlene Dias Cambra Rushman, 91, died Sunday, April 26 at Oak Valley Hospital.
She was born in Arcadia on May 9, 1921. She was a long time resident of Valley Home, living there almost all of her adult life.
Mrs. Rushman was a yard duty teacher in Oakdale for many years.
She learned how to use a computer when she was in her 70s, continuing to use it until she passed away. She loved to dance and one of her favorite shows was Dancing with the Stars. She enjoyed sitting outside among her flowers while watching the hummingbirds and doves that came to feed.
At age 90 she was still active going to lunch with her friends and playing Bingo at the Senior Citizens Center. She had a beautiful angel collection that many of her family and friends had given her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her spouse, Pete; two sons; two daughters; three step-daughters; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; a niece and nephew; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and oldest granddaughter.
At her request, no formal services will be held. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
