COANN HOGWOOD

September 22, 1940 – December 23, 2014

   Coann Hogwood passed away peacefully on December 23rd at her home in Oakdale. Coann was born in San Jose to Hollis and Vergie Linn. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1958. Coann married Jim Hogwood in 1958. She worked at Hershey’s in Oakdale for 25 years. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling, baking, slot machines and watching her Oakdale Mustangs play football.

   Coann was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her brother Ronnie, and her son Michael. She is survived by her daughter Janet Russell of Oakdale, her son Larry (Peni) Hogwood of Oakdale, her grandson Noah (Rachel) Russell of Oakdale, Zach Hogwood of Oakdale, Audra Hogwood of Oakdale and her siblings June Mahaney of Oakdale, Jack (Jenny) Linn of Carmichael, Rudy (Debbie) Linn of Oakdale and Janelle Forgey of Modesto.

   A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 1 PM at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon. In remembrance of Coann, donations can be made to the Humane Society/Animal Rescue. For condolences to the family please visit www.deeganfuneralchapels.com
