Congratulations to the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Martin. The Cowboy Wedding was perfect for this couple. Miss Kimber Steadman was beautiful (looking like she had just stepped off the top of the cake herself, in her strapless flowing gown and cowboy boots.) Not to be left out, the groom and his groomsmen looked great in their boots, cowboy hats and camouflage ties.

As for the reception, one might see anything once the live music started up. A beautiful, life size Tinker Bell? The “older bunch” dancing (yeah, they thought they were sexy)? ... The “younger” crowd doing an impressive jitterbug? ... Beautiful bridesmaids flitting around like life size, sparkly green fairies? ... And was that Kevin Dickens dancing with ... The Groom?

Yes, all of this and more could be found in the charming and tastefully decorated yard of the Fleischer family. Well Done to the parents of the Bride and Groom. From the “hay bale church pews” to the wooden barrels and cowboy boot koozies, it was a country fairy-tale come to life...Once upon a time on the 19th of May, in Valley Home, California, U.S.A.

Valley Home residents look forward to an afternoon of Silent Movie comedy this coming Sunday afternoon starting at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. This year’s film stars one of the  favorite stars of the “Silver Screen” Buster Keaton, whose dead pan antics are brought to life through the talented fingers of Dave Moreno from Ironstone Vineyards, on the keys of the Church organ. Returning once again is Matias Bombal with his usual flamboyance as emcee and vocal soloist.
Members of St. John’s congregation offer us another wonderful opportunity to step back in time and enjoy life in a quieter time span. In addition to the comedy film, movie attendees have the opportunity to enjoy delicious refreshments of home-made pie and ice cream following the movie served in the church basement. The pie is priced at $3 a slice. As always, the film is free, however, donations will be appreciated.
