Here’s some more information on our Valley Home Fall Harvest Festival. We would love to see you … the fun is happening at Valley Home School on Saturday, October 24. Our Fall Harvest Festival pays tribute to our rural way of life and to the farmers and ranchers that work so hard all year long. It’s harvest time in Valley Home and we are forever grateful to those who help feed our nation. Our Harvest Festival starts at 6:30pm and goes until 9pm. Come enjoy a special evening; visit with your neighbors, say hello to old friends and meet new friends. A huge thank you to all who make this evening possible.

There will be something for everyone. We are looking forward to having 15-year-old Jett Trunnell home from Stanford hospital. Let’s all say a prayer for our Jett, that he will soon be home. Jett received a guitar at the All-American Bash in Oakdale on June 27. We are hoping that Jett will be out of the hospital and be able to strum that guitar at our Valley Home Harvest Festival. There is a beautiful banner made by Mike Sosieth, of Performance Signs and Graphics in Emmet, Idaho and on the evening of our Harvest Festival, the banner will hang proudly on stage, proclaiming: “Jett Trunnell with Greg Ross and the Boys from Bakersfield”.

Let’s all pray each day for Jett, and for each of our young people who are fighting this battle. A special thank you to Amanda and Sammy Jones who work daily to help fight childhood cancer in honor of Amanda’s son, Wyatt Jones. Amanda will have a booth at the Harvest Festival, please stop by and say hello.

This year we will have a very special new area, Kiddie Land. It’s going to be a fun place for our younger festival goers. A huge thank you to Julie and her crew for this exciting new area.

There will also be great fun for our older attendees. Please stop by and enjoy a couple of winning games of Bingo with Joanie. Make sure to visit our amazing face painting artist, Denise, who will be creating much so happiness inside the gym.

Visit Sean and his crew at the Harvest Festival Kitchen for a tri tip sandwich or maybe enjoy a dinner selection from the Harvest Kitchen Bounty. We will also have several wonderful Class Baskets to bid on. We are collecting exciting items for our Fall Harvest Silent Auction; please for any of you that might like to donate an item, we would so greatly appreciate your support. Please give me a call or text me at 209-985-5233.

Be sure to make plans to enjoy a ride on the Pirates Haunted Hay Ride. The hay ride will start at 7:30pm, at dark, because that’s when spooky things happen in Valley Home. This year the scenes along the haunted hay ride will feature pirates and other creepy scares. Be careful; did you know there are still pirates who will rob law abiding folks of their treasures? Be aware; there will be the ghosts of pirates from years past. Did you know pirates of old Valley Home still hide out in the tall eucalyptus trees out back of our school? It’s going to be such a fun evening in Valley Home. Please come enjoy the evening with us.
